Framingham to Logan, door to door
Framingham sits about 24 miles west of Boston Logan, roughly a 31-minute drive on the Massachusetts Turnpike when the road is clear. Morning eastbound traffic and the Allston curve are what move that number, which is why we set the pickup from your flight time rather than from a fixed rule of thumb.
Arrivals are tracked automatically from flight data, so a late inbound moves the pickup without a phone call. Fares are fixed before the trip: from $90 in a sedan and $120 in an SUV, with tolls, parking and waiting time included. No gratuity is added to your bill; tipping is entirely at your discretion.
You already have a bus. Here is when a car is the better call.
Framingham is one of the four Logan Express stations, and for a solo traveller with a carry-on and a flexible schedule it is hard to beat on price. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise.
A private car earns its cost in the cases the bus handles badly:
- Early departures and late arrivals — flights outside the bus timetable, when the alternative is an overnight airport hotel or a taxi at the far end.
- Luggage, children or equipment — anything you would rather not carry from a parking lot to a platform, or load yourself.
- Two or more travellers — the per-seat maths stops favouring the bus quickly, and one vehicle beats several fares.
- A meeting on either end — door to door with no park-and-ride in the middle, and a chauffeur who waits if the meeting runs long.
- Parking that is full — a station lot at capacity turns a budget plan into a missed flight.
We set out the full comparison, including the parts that do not favour us, on our Logan Express comparison page.
Meeting you at Logan
Logan has four terminals: A, B, C and E. For arrivals we track the flight and meet you at the curb by default; an in-terminal meet and greet at baggage claim is available as an add-on if you would rather be met inside. For departures we build in the margin the Pike deserves at that hour rather than the margin a map suggests.
Beyond the airport
The same vehicles cover Framingham for work that is not a flight: hourly as-directed hire for a day of meetings, corporate accounts invoiced on Net-30, and long-distance runs to New York, Providence and Cape Cod under a single booking. Hourly starts at $100 per hour for a sedan and $125 for an SUV, with a two-hour minimum and 20 miles included in each booked hour.
Chauffeurs are W-2 employees on our payroll rather than contractors engaged per ride. ALVE holds Massport authorization to operate at Logan and carries commercial liability cover with a $1,000,000 combined single limit.
